On 29 April 2021 12.00 pm, the United Front of Thammasat and Demonstration organized a demonstration at the Criminal Court in support to those who were on remand and to reaffirm the right to bail.

As the demonstration went on, one of the police offices started to read out the Bangkok mayor’s the Covid-19 measure. The police then suggested that the demonstration could be the source of spreading the virus. Having his revenue cut down because of the pandemic in which he believes is due to the government’s mismanagement, Pisitkun, went furious and started cursing at the police with rude words for over 3 minutes.

The event of 29 April 2021 eventually led to Contempt of Court charges filed against 6 protesters, including Pisitkun. His trial started on 18 June 2021 and three witnesses took the stand, including the accuser Director of the Criminal Court Administrative Office, the police officer who read the order, and Pisitkun himself.
