On 22 July 2020, MSU Democracy Front, a group of student activist from Mahasarakham University organized protest "Isan will not tolerate" at the Octagon Ground inside Mahasarakham University.
The protesters had 3 demands including the Prime Minister must dissolve the Parliament, The new election must be held under 1997 Constitution and the 250 senate must stop its role in Thai politics.
Phongsathorn was one of the organizing team for this protest. Initially, the university announced that it will not allow the protest to take place inside the campus due to Covid19 concern, the organizer however insisted to carry on with their activity. Around 3.45 pm. the police went into the protest site and clarify legal concerns surrounding this protest then the organizer carry on with their activity.
On the date the protest went peacefully with neither violence incident nor the arrest of protester. In August the police had summon Phongsatorn to acknowledge accusation under Emergency Decree for organizing public gathering that may have cause the spread of Covid19.
