On 21 May 2020, Anurak or 'Ford' a Red Shirt activist posted message and picture on his facebook announced that on 22 May 2020 which marked 6th anniversary of 22 May 2014 coup, there will be fund raising event to provide help for those who were economically effected by covid19. The event will be held at the Bangkok Art and Cultural Center (BACC) from 5pm – 8pm.

On the same day Thossaporn, a former MP candidate from the dissolved Thai Raksa Chart Party posted message on his facebook account announced that on 22 May he will go the BACC to draw and sing to raise fund for those who suffer from economy due to covid19 that cause by government virus control policies. He also said that the activity will be broadcast via Facebook.
 
Later on 22nd May, the police stationed at the BACC since before 4.30 pm. The BACC also set up fences surrounding its front ground to prevent anyone from using space.  Around 4.30 pm. Thossaporn arrived at the scene, bringing along portraits of those who were economically effected from covid19 which he drew by himself to displayed at the scene and gave interview to the press. The police then identify themselves to Thossaporn asking him to stop the activity claiming that it was against Emergency Decree.
 
Thossaporn negotiated with the police that he will lit a candle to mourn those who committed suicide because of economic crisis then he will stop the activity. Thossaporn then proceeded with his activity, the police later brought him and Anurak to Patumwan Police Station to notify accusation under Emergency Decree. Both of them denied allegation. The police later release both of them with 30000 Baht worth bail bond.
