On 24 December 2019, Krithiran, an architect from Nakhon Sawan province created facebook page "Run for Democracy" to use as channel to spread information about his running campaign. In the same day, this facebook page also advertised running route and informed that the activity on 12 January 2020 between 5 to 6 p.m.
 
On the date, while Krithiran and the participants were set to start the activity the Superintendent of Muang Nakhon Sawan police station along with police officers had approached Krithiran and ordered him to cancel the activity given that he did not notify this public assembly as provided by the public assembly act. However, Krithiran and other indited to carry on with their activity. The activity went on peacefully.

Later, on 18 January 2020 Krithiran was summoned to acknowledge accusation under public assembly act for not notify public assembly. The police also inform him accusation under Criminal Code for act against authority's order and accusation under public transportation act for obstructed the traffic. Krithiran denied all accusation and asked to stand trial in the court.
