On 9 January 2019, student and people in Chiang Mai Province organized activity "Walk to Vote" at Tha Pae Gate, a tourist area in Chiang Mai city center. The aim of activity was to protest against the delay of General Election and to insist that Election must be held on 24 February 2019. Close by the venue that activity was held military officers from the Military Circle 33 had organized charity concert to raise fund to support victim of Cyclonic Storm Pabuk.
 
Pinkaew, an academician from Chiang Mai University who joined the activity took photo of the military and posted it on her facebook account and wrote a caption satire that the military had taken part in Walk to Vote activity together with people from Chiang Mai. Military official from the 33rd Military Circle later went to file accusation under the Computer-related Crime Act against Pinkaew. On 4 June 2019, Pinkaew went to report herself to the police. After pleaded no guilty to the police Pinkaew was released by the police without bail bond.      
 
On 5 September 2019, the police filed case against Pinkaew to the prosecutor. Initially, the prosecutor set to render case order on 19 September 2019 but later the schedule was postponed to 28 November 2019.

Later in January 2020, the presecutor issued non prosecution order over the case.
