On 23 June 2016, 13 individuals including member of New Democracy Movement and member of Triumph Labour Union were arrested by the police and the military after gathered to distributed Vote No Campaign pamphlet as well as a form of Election Commission to requested for casting vote outside district at a market in Bangplee Community, Samut Prakarn. 
 
In the evening of the same day, military and police officials brought 13 activists to Bangsaothong for the interrogation. Later, all 13 activists were accused for defying Order of the Head of NCPO no.3/2015 which prohibit a gathering of more than 5 people for political purpose as well as accusation under the Referendum Act. All 13 accused were held at the police station for one night before they were taken to the Military Court on 24 June 2016 for pre-trial detention.
 
The Military Court accepted pre-trail detention petition of the police and allow to remand all activists for 12 days. 6 among 13 activists requested the court to release them on bail. The Military Court allowed to release them on bail with 50,000 Baht deposit for each. Other 7 activist however wish not to request for bail. They were remanded at the Bangkok Remand Prison since.
